ORIENTAL BEAUTY
Oriental Beauty (or originally, baihao oolong tea) is an oolong tea originated from Taiwan.
The name "Oriental Beauty" comes from England in 19th century. Queen Victoria had first tried this charming tea from Taiwan, then known as the Formosa island, and became mesmerized by its delicate, sweet flavors. She then proceeded to call this baihao oolong tea beauty from the orient -- Oriental Beauty.
The white fur, which is where baihao comes from, is natural hair that grows with the bud. When the leaves are fully grown, the fur naturally falls. Having the white fur indicates the tea's premium quality and its delicate flavors and benefits, rich in polyphenols. Of course, drinking them is also perfectly safe.
It's a truly unique flavor that can satisfy one's sweet tooth without any caloric or actual sugar added to the tea. The flavors are so sweet and floral that top-tier Darjeeling black tea is said to have copied the flavors.
